"DO NOT USE THEM! Read below for my experience. They touted that they negotiate the debt down, in most cases, by 50% - They Did NOT! They were not clear and upfront with me on the exorbitant fees they tack onto your debt. Communication with them has been deplorable for an English speaking man. It seems their primary audience is Spanish speaking. conversations with about 5 different reps there have been very difficult because it seems English is their 2nd language. In my scenario their negotiation reduced the total debt by $3,500 but they added over $8,000 fees + $70/month processing fees Even with the high payment I am paying them, I still had to deal with bank and debt collectors myself, they did not represent me. More than once my information was stolen from their facility and used to attempt money scam collections from me. *** My advice is to go ahead and deal with the bank/creditor yourself and setup payments with them. If you use Cordoba you will pay a lot more, for longer, and receive no benefit."

"I'm a sucker who fell for them!!! they promise me that I would be guarantee every single penny back if I decided not to settle because it was like a savings account. Honestly, I am just better off cancelling and taking my losses now, I was sadly mistaken and sweet talked. It was too good to be true!! They are taking advantage of people trying to turn their debt around. I am sorry for everyone else who had to go through this"

"These people say they will do great things for you ! That’s CRAP ! My credit score still sucks & I have been dealing with these people for years !! My last settlement, finally ! & they only got me like 83% of the debt ! Not very good !! The last offer they talked me into taking was at least $300 more than previous offers! I only took it to get this over with ! Yet they still need to extend it for sn extra 15 months because most of the money I have been paying to Cordoba goes to paying them the lawyer fees not settling the debt ! Good luck to all who dare to try this !"

"Don't contract with this company. I've paid $969 for over two years. I've made all my payments on time, and I only have 3 payments left. I'm being sued by two creditors, and Cordoba is asking me to make unreasonable additional payments (in some cases 10 additional payments beyond my final payment) to settle remaining debts on multiple other accounts. They will promise to settle your debts for half of what you owe, but they take your money and don't come through on their promises. You end up with higher balances and then they request additional funds to settle the debts. They hide behind the small print in the contract that states "additional payments may be required" when they aren't able to settle with creditor. I'm so angry that I almost want to provide my account number here so that you all can see. One example (of many) is a Capital One account. The balance was less than $2K when they took over the account, and I was current on payments. They are suing me for $3400, and Cordoba is requesting that I make additional payments of $620 a month for six months beyond the end of my contract. No one can explain where the $969 goes every month (over two years of payments). Please take my advice. If you find that you are in the hole with debt, just make arrangements with your creditors. At least when you make the payments, the entire payment will go to the debt. Don't make the same mistake I did. BTW, they also call themselves Debt USA, so don't make a mistake. Just work with your creditors on your own."

"I signed a contract with Cordoba in 4/2034 in the contract, I was advised to make payments each month. Which I did and was told Cordoba would contact my creditors. I was told if my creditors contacted me to contact Cordoba and they would take care of this. Well they didn’t I still got a noticed to pay. This continued for several months. Well 11 months into the contact and over Nine thousand dollars in payments to Cordoba. I received a summons and complaint, from Discover, stating they are taking legal action on my account. I immediately called Cordoba and they told me to send me the papers that I received, which I did. I got more papers and sent them within a few days. I was told that legal department would take care of this. I was also told that they tried to contact Discover, which they were unable to negotiate or make any contact with them. Since they didn’t make contact with them, I did not get any more bills from Discover, which I thought my creditors were taken care of foolish me. Since they did not get a hold of Discover, they did not get a hold of me telling me that they were unable to get a hold of them if they would’ve contacted me I would’ve made arrangements with Discover and got the ball rolling but never did get a call from Cordoba. No, recently I was told legal department is breaking the contract with me on Discover even though I signed a contract with them that they would take care of my creditors. They told me I waited too long to send them the paperwork which I did not within a day or two. I sent them the paperwork it’s been almost a year and they never negotiated with Discover. I repeat myself Close to a year they did not contact Discover to negotiate. Like I said before they could not contact and make negotiation with them, but they never contacted me on this matter. If they would’ve, I could’ve called discover and see what was going on. They did not now I have to pay over $11,000 to discover. I just got off the phone with them. They stated that they are making payments on several of my credits but not all so I figured I’d be getting something and complaint from the other ones that they had not made any payments with since they are still negotiating sure, One last thing I was told several times in the past that legal was trying to get a hold of me according to my phone by email my text messages. I did not see any correspondence of this kind. Today when I contacted Cordoba, they told me they were trying to contact me. I checked my phone with my email text messages missed phone calls. It was no Contact from Cordoba. Thanks a lot only if you would’ve contacted me, I could’ve contacted Discover and took care of this but no, you did not contact me. It was too late."
