Founded by Stacey and Steven, who both grew up in the Bay Area with a lifelong love for animals, Pawsome Pet Services was established in 2018 in Placerville, California. The inspiration for our business came from their beloved chihuahua, Iggy, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. This diagnosis changed everything for Stacey and Steven, as they rearranged their work schedules to ensure Iggy received the care he needed. They quickly realized that finding trustworthy pet care was a challenge, especially when it came to administering medications and ensuring the well-being of their furry family member. The idea for Pawsome Pet Services was born from this experience. They envisioned a service that would provide not only medication administration but also comprehensive pet care that pet owners could rely on. Tragically, Iggy passed away, but he lived for nine more beautiful months after his diagnosis, and it was on that day that Pawsome Pet Services was officially founded. The love and dedication that Stacey and Steven have for animals is evident in every aspect of their business. They are passionate advocates for animal rescue and share their home with two rescue chihuahuas, Spike and MoJo, as well as a senior chiweenie named Honey Boo. At Pawsome Pet Services, we offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the needs of pets and their owners. Our core services include dog walking, pet sitting, boarding, and additional services such as pet taxi and waste management. Our dog walking services are designed to cater to dogs of all sizes and energy levels, with options for 15, 30, and 40-minute walks. Each walk includes basic training to reinforce good behavior, ensuring that your dog not only gets exercise but also learns to be well-mannered on a leash. Our pet sitting services are comprehensive, providing playtime, feeding, fresh water, and potty breaks for up to three pets during each visit. We also offer the option to administer oral medications with written permission from the owner. For those who need overnight care, we provide limited boarding services in our home, where your dogs will be treated like family, with access to a fenced yard and plenty of love and attention.
