"My AC was struggling, so I called Pro-Tech. First tech comes out and says my coil is filthy, charges me over $1300 for a full cleaning. The next day, my AC still isn't cooling. A second tech comes out and tells me that I wasted my money on the cleaning and I should fight to get it back, because I have a refrigerant leak. He says it'll cost thousands of dollars for him to find and fix the leak so I should just buy a new unit because mine is out of warranty. I panic, I tell him to start pricing the new unit. He has a sales guy on the phone, but I also check my warranty. My unit was still under warranty. He backpedals and tells me that they'll install the new coil for $2500. I call another company, they say they do coil swaps for $650. I went with them, when they pulled my old "CLEAN" coil out, they said it was never cleaned. Photo attached of the "clean" unit I paid $1300 for service on. Pro-Tech eventually refunded all my money but I spent a week without AC and had to fight to get every dollar returned to me while they tried to squeeze me for more cash in every step of the process."

"Pro Tech got out to service my AC today after the motor went out this morning, they were prompt and on time per the 2 hour window they gave on the initial call. Called when they were on the way out, Anthony our tech was awesome, he went above and beyond to make sure our AC was good to go and got us back in shape. Really appreciate the quality and service provided."

"I had a great experience with Pro-Tech HVAC thanks to their field service technician, Raymond Ferrer. He responded quickly and handled everything with the highest level of professionalism. Raymond was humble, respectful and approachable (which made it easy to ask questions). He took the time to explain everything clearly and in detail so I fully understood what was going on with our AC. I really appreciated how considerate he was of our home and property and how he kept our needs in mind while working to get the AC back up and running. "I purchased a brand new Trane AC unit from Pro Tech AC & Plumbing for $13,000 in October 2023. Since then, I’ve had regular service with them, including a check-up in February 2025, when I was told the system was “good to go” for summer. Yesterday, my AC stopped working, so they had Michael from Pro Tech come out. Within less than a minute, he claimed the problem was a leak in the coil—the same coil they installed not even two years ago. His first recommendation? Join their “Comfort AC Club.” Next, I was quoted $730 for coolant (which is outrageous), and then $2,600 for the coil replacement. Again—Pro Tech installed this unit less than 2 years ago. At no point did it feel like they were trying to help, never opened the unit to show me, he just knew from “experience”. Michael made it clear the only objective was to make money, not stand behind their work. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I’d get a call “in a few days.” Still waiting. Extremely disappointed. This felt more like a shakedown than service. If you’re thinking about using Pro Tech, think twice—especially when it comes to long-term value and customer care after the install. Update* 8/1/25 The service supervisor called and was very nice on the phone and sent out a tech for free to make sure 100% that it was the coil and mentioned a discount. Not only was the discount still over $1000 more than other quotes I have received, THEY CRACKED THE FRONT OF MY UNIT DURING THE SERVICE. Don’t walk RUN from this awful company. I requested a refund for their useless comfort club and they refuse to refund it even though they said they would. 0 stars, and never contact me again. This is not how you run a business."

"Have never come across such an unprofessional company. Called them with an AC issue. Instead of diagnosing the problem and calling us with an estimate or discussing options, they went ahead and changed the parts without our permission and handed us a big bill. In the past, we have paid between 200-220 for a capacitor. Here they charged us 550 for changing the capacitor. When I asked, why is their price so high, they said because they are a one of a kind company. I am really disappointed and would never use their service again. I wish, I had read all the reviews before scheduling them."
